Nevada Region Report 8-14-2010 by John Galbraith

Temps in the mid 70s greeted anglers competing in the final event of the season
for the Nevada Region Team Event at Lake Mohave. The teams of Troy Duncan/Danny Branscum, Ray Coleman/Dan Unten and Jeff & Charles Hudson were battling for the Team of the year tiltle, seperated by only 13 points in could be anyones game. Conditions turned tough eventhough the temps never went above 100 degrees. The famous Lake mohave winds started blowing around 11am and made fishing conditions even tougher. Jigs and dropshotted Robo and Powerworms proved to be the best bite for the day.
1st place team of Dean & Greg Yamagata went for broke by catching the only 5 bass limit of the day weighing 10.06lbs. Using Jigs and dropshotted powerworms got them a nice check for $1108.00. SWEET !!!!

2nd place team of Dale Devlin & Eric Kunkle hit the scales with 3 bass weighing 6.28lbs.
Not bad for a $695.00 check. Good deal!!!
3rd place team of Kevin Luby & Paul Aznarez managed 2 bass for 5.58lbs. Good enough
for a $407.00 payday. Congrats Guys !!!
6th place team of Ernie Stumpf & Chad May caught the big bass of the event with
a nice 4.15lb largemouth......sadly Ernie talked Chad out of getting into the Big bass
option. The $250.00 payday went to 2nd big bass, a 3.46lb bass caught by Dale Devlin and Eric Kunkle. Dale & Eric said "Thanks" Ernie.
